Aishwarya may have left the building, but Sonam Kapoor landed soon enough in Cannes to fill her shoes. The actress who, like Ash, endorses cosmetic giant L’Oreal, walked the red carpet for the ongoing Cannes Film Festival for the first time when she attended the premiere of The Artist at the Palais des Festivals.The fashionista that she’s known as back home, Sonam floored everybody with her outfit and appearance. The tall actress chose a beautiful white Jean Paul Gaultier couture gown from the designer’s 2009 Spring Couture collection and was an instant hit with the papparazzi.
Sonam paired her fairytale-like dress with Chopard earrings, Salvatore Ferragamo shoes and an Amrapali ring. The geometrical patterned white dress has a mesh overlay and the black print is beautiful but it could have done without the train. Source
