Fear when the plane is experienced by many people. Many do not feel safe being in a confined space and floating in altitude for hours. Not to mention if the aircraft experienced turbulence and there are things uncomfortable while on a plane.

1. Prepare Mentally
Before boarding the plane, you should mentally prepare beforehand. When a person imagine they would feel scared, they usually do not imagine it realistically because they fear obey. Do not just imagine the scary things that happen on the plane, and imagine the fun things you can do on the plane. This will make you more calm.

2. Distract
Think of things do you do on the plane for the trip. Adjust to how long you will be on the plane. Prepare puzzle toys, DVDs, music player, magazine, or other things you like. Wehrenberg also advised to bring candy peppermint or lavender fragrances that can provide a calming effect.

3. Breathing
One of the basic techniques to calm down is breathable. Wehrenberg suggest that you may know how breathing techniques to calm down. The trick is to inhale through the nose and out the mouth slowly. Although this technique is actually very common, but this can be very powerful, because breathing is one of the most effective ways to stop the panic.

4. Remember that Panic Will Pass
It’s important to understand that the panic will pass, said Dr. Wehrenberg. Panic attacks usually will not last more than a few minutes. So when having a panic attack, remember that it will go away and be fine. If you are afraid of losing control of yourself when you feel panic, then remind yourself that even severe panic attacks do not last more than a few minutes.

5. Find Out What Makes Fear
Franklin D Roosevelt once said that “The only thing we have to fear is fear itself.” So find your fear. Find out what makes you feel afraid. Some people are afraid the plane will crash, some fear panic, and others. Answer questions about what makes you scared, what possibilities that can happen when you feel fear, what would you do, and others. It would be more realistic making you in the face of fear.

6. Focus on the Positive Things
Dr. Wehrenberg explains that the people who will get on a plane must avoid reading or listening to the news about the plane crash and the like. People who have a fear of a thing tends to think very detailed in her fears, for example by imagining the possibility of accidents and other aircraft. They do not focus on the positive things such as security and other aircraft.

7. Seek Professional Help
When feeling scared and nervous when I get on a plane is very excessive, you should start looking for professional help.
