Women Do Not Expect Expensive Gifts as Valentine

Choosing a Valentine gift for women is not an easy job. Sometimes men do not want to look cheap so they give an expensive gift. But the fact is that most women prefer things sweet and romantic than an expensive gift for Valentine gifts.

Recent surveys indicate that nine out of 10 women prefer a romantic gesture or hug than expensive gifts or diamonds. Although sometimes he believed that diamonds could melt the hearts of women, but in fact many women who prefer romantic sayings or poems composed by the lover.

The study found that about 25 percent of women want their lovers to write romantic poetry, while eight per cent expect to get an intimate embrace. Even so, there are still 25 percent of women who expect luxury holiday invited by their partner on Valentine’s Day.

“This survey shows that men do not need to spend too much money to make their lovers happy on Valentine’s Day. Fact, the behavior of a romantic, homemade poem, or even a hug was able to make them happy,” said Mike Taylor, director of the BHF Retail, as reported by Daily Mail (12/02).

The research was conducted by the British Heart Foundation. Based on this research, one in ten men believes giving underwear is the best gift for their partner. Even so, only one percent of women who agree with this.

Interestingly, five percent of men think that housework for his wife is romantic behavior that can be done. While two percent is thought to promise not to watch a sporting event for one week as a Valentine’s gift.
