As one of the organs that helps with daily activities, the eyes may experience fatigue due to several reasons, even if you already get enough rest to sleep. According to James P. McCulley, an eye health expert from the University of Texas Medical School, the eyes are one body part that has the most active muscles.

No wonder if some people often experience fatigue in the eye. This is the fifth cause of fatigue in the eye as well as solutions to overcome these problems:

1. Using a Computer and Reading

Eye consists of three muscle groups, one of which aims to work to see objects with close proximity. The closer your eye with the object, the eye muscles work harder to make objects look clear. That’s why the eye will experience fatigue if you do not give a sufficient distance at work staring at a computer or reading.

Solution: On the sidelines of work staring at a computer or reading, take a look at a particular object that is located very far to make the eyes more relaxed.

2. Lighting the Bad

Read under poor lighting (either too dark or too bright) will cause the muscles of the sphincter and dilatory work too hard.

Solution: Adjust the room lighting to make your eyes comfortable. If you sit facing the blazing sunlight create glare, change seats!

3. Too Old Work

Just like sports, in a timely manner, the body becomes healthy, but if excessive, the body will be exhausted, so with the eye. The majority of us work very long at the computer while in office, because that’s the eye needs time to rest.

Solution: Avoid direct turn on the computer when I got home. Allow time for the eyes relaxed after a hard day.

4. Rarely Blinking While Working

This is related to the previous point, when the eyes are working hard, then the eye more susceptible to drought because rarely blinking. According to Dr. Ronald Schachar an Association for the Advancement of Ophthalmology, when the eyes have been tired, then you tend to blink less frequently so that the eyes of a severe drought. Often occur in employees who work with computers.

Solution: Leave your computer every once every hour, at least five to ten minutes.

5. Eye Health Problems

People who experience nearsightedness have a ciliary muscle to work harder, and usually they insisted would not wear glasses because it was still okay. Nearly everyone who passed the age of 40 years will experience stiffness in the eye lens, thus forcing the ciliary muscles to work harder.

Solution: Do not forget your eyes examined regularly even if you (feel) the eyes are still healthy and normal.
