Shagird movie review – Nana Patekar is back in action

Bollywood Garam: Nana Patekar is back with the movie ‘Shagird’ and is yet again an encounter specialist in this new Bollywood flick. The movie is directed by Tigmanshu Dhulia and includes the cast Mohit Ahlawat, Rimi Sen and Anurag Kashyap.

The movie stars a young officer played by Mohit, who aspires to become the youngest police commissioner. He has been posted under ACP Hanumant played by Nana Patekar, who is as usual known for his ruthless and brutal behavior as a cop.
The story starts with the ambitions of the new officer, who learns a lot from his boss and later realizes the routine. There is an unusual student-techer like chemistry shown in the movie between the two, who come across criminals like ‘Bunty Bhaiya’ played by Anurag Kashyap.
The whole movie is filled with lessons and chases in different encounters in the capital city Delhi. There is nothing new to boast in the movie, its just that the silent style portrayed by Nana is always worth a watch, while people try to imitate him. In the movie, Rimi plays the role of a daring journalist, who goes to meet a scary terrorist just like we had seen Sridevi in the movie Mr. India. Over all, Shagird can be only enjoyed by the Nana Patekar fans, and is not a big blockbuster to be enjoyed by the family..
