Genelia D’Souza Is Going Through A Tough Phase

The live wire actress Genelia D’Souza would no longer be a part of Bol Bachchan. Though she was supposed to star opposite Abhishek Bachchan in this Rohit Shetty film, there were some differences that cropped up between the makers and the actress over the last few days due to which this decision was taken. A hunt is now on for the second lead in this film that has Ajay Devgn and Asin topping the cast with Abhishek joining in as well.
“For Genelia, this could have been a big ticket into a big Bollywood commercial film”, informs a source, “In fact she was banking upon the film a lot since this Rohit has an impeccable record when it comes to delivering hits. Moreover the film is said to be a remake of a cult classic like Golmaal (the old one starring Amol Palekar) which means a successful outing was guaranteed.”
However, Genelia would have to wait for a while now since there were issues that had started cropping up even before the film had gone on floors.

Anushka Sharma’s Career Graph Is Moving Quite Slowly

After signing an untitled film with Shahrukh Khan, many wondered about Anushka Sharma whether she was restricting herself to the Yash Chopra camp and would ever do films with other banners as well. After all this year, except for PATIALA HOUSE that came very early and LADIES V/S RICKY BAHL which would be coming at the fag end of the year, Anushka has more or less a barren slate for herself. However such rumours have finally been laid to rest with the actress now signing a film with Ajay Devgn, Vishal Bhardwaj and Kumar Mangat.
One does feel though that with the kind of talent and fan following that she comes with, won’t she benefit from picking up many more films, especially so when many of her contemporaries are signing films by dozens?
“If at all I had to do that, I would have taken this step two years back after RAB NE BANA DI JODI itself. I could have signed five films and stayed happy thinking that my future was secure. But did I do that? No, right,” she reasons, “That’s the way I want to build my career. I want to make a gradual progression. Even if that means not facing the camera for few weeks at stretch, it is okay. It is this approach that worked for me. Cliched as it may sound but my work spoke for myself.”
She adds with a laugh, “I am not someone who would want to do any ‘gadha majdoori’. I want to work for the right reasons. Sometimes it is for that particular character that you get to play or a role which is really strong. It is very important to judge the present situation and then do a film accordingly. This is the reason why I did BAND BAAJA BAARAAT at this stage of my career. I could have been a quintessential Bollywood heroine and played a glamorous leading lady but I chose to play someone who was natural to the core. Today if I look back at the film, it is inarguably my best show-reel till date.”

ZNMD Is Making Huge Noise At The Box Office

Zoya Akhtar’s road trip film, Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara (ZNMD), has given the box office and the audience a reason to smile.
ZNMD’s net collection on the first day was about Rs 7.5 crore and approximately Rs 9 to Rs 9.25 crore on the second.
Even though Harry Potter initially sped ahead of Zoya Akhtar’s film in the early shows, the Hrithik Roshan-Farhan Akhtar-Abhay Deol starrer quickly caught up. Yet, apprehensions about it slowing down in the coming days do exist. “I don’t know whether it will be able to sustain for too long,” adds Nahta, while trade analyst Taran Adarsh reveals, “It is not selling so much in single screens, but on the strength of the multiplexes, the youth has taken to the film in a big way. It might be one of the biggest openings we’ve seen.”

But the busy actor of Bollywood has already started working on her films as she tweeted on her projects and works: “Back in Mumbai. Loving the rains. On my way to set to shoot for RA.ONE. Should be super fun.’
Meanwhile there is good news for her fans as a number of movies starring her are scheduled to hit the screens in the coming months.
On one hand she is busy shooting a cameo in the upcoming flick RA.ONE featuring Shah Rukh Khan. At the same time the first trailers of Farhan Akhtar’s DON 2 featuring Khan and Piggy Chops have already hit the big screens.
“Lemme know what yall think of the trailer………” tweeted Priyanka.
Released in 2006, DON 2 - THE CHASE CONTINUES featured both Shah Rukh Khan and Priyanka in the lead roles.

Aamir Khan Keeps The Director Waiting For 1 Year

Everything has a limit. This is something Anurag Kashyap has now to say for his upcoming venture.
This time last year, filmmaker Anurag Kashyap was celebrating the success of his home production Udaan. Exactly a year later, however, Kashyap’s flight of fancy has been cut short. Bombay Velvet, his dream project and clearly his most ambitious film till date that was supposed to star Aamir Khan, will now be made without the superstar.
Sadly, after a year long wait, the filmmaker has given up on the one face that would have been the strongest selling point of the film.
“I am going ahead with Bombay Velvet without Aamir. He is a very busy man and I have waited long enough. I don’t even know if he wants to do the film,” says the director.
Interestingly, it was Anurag himself who had once declared that if Aamir wasn’t on board, he would much rather not make the film.

Sources in the circles found out that in his magnum opus movie ‘Ra.One’, Shah Rukh will be seen riding a bike, which interestingly has been modelled on Batman’s bike! One can watch out for the Badshah using the bike in an action sequence, the shooting of which is said to take place shortly place at Filmistan Studios, Goregaon.
Revealed sources, SRK will be doing a rescue act in the scene, which also requires him to indulge in some real adrenaline pumping stunts. However no body double has been roped in for it and the King Khan is heard to be quite kicked about doing his own stunts.
Incidentally, SRK who is usually not particularly fond of bikes seems to have differed for ‘Ra.One’, his ambitious movie.
