Amitabh To Play The Role Of A Detective In Gowariker’s Next

It’s Shahenshah for the ace filmmaker’s next venture, our birdies found out. Buzz in the circles is that Ashutosh Gowariker, the talent house behind movies like ‘Lagaan’, ‘Swades’, ‘Jodhaa Akbar’, has planned a movie with mega star Amitabh Bachchan in the lead.
In his last movie ‘Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey’, Gowariker had the icon’s son Abhishek Bachchan.
Birdies shared that Big B will don the role of a detective in Gowariker’s forthcoming venture and some even say that it is going to be a la James Bond character. We don’t know how far this is true, but it is believed that Amitabh loved the story and his role and instantly gave his nod for the project.
Sr. Bachchan had earlier worked in Gowariker’s film ‘Lagaan’, by giving his voice for the narration part.

Will Arjun Rampal Imitate Salman’s Act As A Cop

Different from Salman’s Chulbul Pandey, Arjun Rampal will play a sophisticated cop in Tigmanshu Dhulia’s next
Playing a cop seems to be the current flavour of the season and after Salman Khan, Abhishek Bachchan and Ajay Devgn, the latest to join the bandwagon is Arjun Rampal. The actor is playing a cop in Tigmanshu Dhulia’s next.
Says a source, “Arjun was apprehensive about playing a North Indian cop because there were bound to be comparisons with Salman Khan’s ‘Dabangg’.” Not wanting to take chances, Arjun requested the director to make his character more sophisticated and classy, unlike Salman’s character, Chulbul Pandey.
The actor is trying to get a hang of the character and is planning to meet the top officials in UP and other northern districts. Rampal is also working hard on the mannerisms and also taking notes on how they go about in their day to day business. The film will also see Preity Zinta making a comeback in a big way.

Sonu Sood’s Next Is With Tabu

This is something exciting. After flaunting his six-pack abs in Dabangg, Sonu Sood dons a new look which seems to be modelled on the styles popularised in the 1950s and 1960s, for the action-thriller Maximum.
Sonu who played a cop in Bbuddah…Hoga Terra Baap, will once again be seen as a police officer in director Kabir Kaushik’s underworld drama, which also stars Tabu and Naseeruddin Shah.
The actor posted a picture revealing his new look on social networking site Twitter. The picture shows him sporting a mustache and a side parting with neatly combed hair. This look is indeed different from the way he actually looks.
